This tour will introduce you to the wonderful area of the world
in Hong Kong . . . and open the doors to pearl, bead, buttons and trim warehouses you might otherwise never be able to see.

Day 1 ~ Fly into Hong Kong by late afternoon or early evening. Check into your hotel. And walk Famous Temple Street by night.

Day 2 ~ See the Jade Market, haggle with vendors to procure your treasures. See Temple Street by day for a very different experience. Visit a tea shop and enjoy the many flavors. Add a teapot to your colletion.

Day 3 ~ Catch a double decker bus to go to the Stone District, where you will find beads, cabochons and sculptures carved from stone.

Go to lunch at a fabulous Japanese Restaurant where we will get to enjoy mochi for desert.

Day 4 ~
We all grab taxi's and pile in to rush off to the Button and Trim district (located in the New Territories), as this is the area where the DIY bead area is located, along with arts and crafts as lovely jewelry boxes, silk, lace, and other assorted notions. You might even find a few places to purchase metal chain!

Day 5 ~ Visit the pearl district to find piles of Pearls just waiting for you to bring home with you. You will see both freshwater and saltwater pearls. Pears for every budget can be found.

Have lunch at a World Famous Dim Sum restaurant.Shop for more Pearls today.

Have dinner tonight at an exclusive Indian Restaurant (The Taj Mahal), where you have to be a member to be admitted. (Don't worry the membership has been taken care of.)

Day 6 ~ We go back to the Button and Trim District to find more goodies.

Day 7 ~ We will go to the post office early today for people who may wish to ship any goods too large for their suitcases, or too small to ship by the factory.

Cross the channel to Hong Kong Island where we will visit the Antique district, many pubs, and ride the world's longest outdoor escalator. Think pub food for lunch.

Ride the cable car up to the Peak and have dinner or coffee.

Day 8 ~ All good things must come to an end. We all fly back home!


We are limiting this bead tour to 24 people. It will be a fun and rewarding tour without feeling overcrowded.

Please realize this is not some slick guided tour, but in fact will be a working tour with some fun thrown in between friends, We really are going on a purchasing and buying trip to working warehouses that you would otherwise never have a chance to see.

For those of you who are interested in buying large quantities (for items which will not fit in your suitcase), we can also help you thru the steps to arrange for shipping and figuring out the customs fees back to the USA.

You will need to be healthy and fit. We will be walking a lot all over town. You WILL NEED to wear comfortable walking shoes!
